Pentagon City Ice Rink

Certain activities are meant to be enjoyed only during the winter season, one of them being ice skating. Pentagon City’s recently underwent construction to expand their outdoor ice rink. The biggest change is the size of the rink, they have doubled the size of what it used to be, making it easy for more people to participate in the highly demanded activity. Other changes have been the decorations, consisting of stars that light up, ice sculptures, a christmas tree and every night fake snow covers the rink as people enjoy the scenery. A handy tool they have added is penguin skating aids for beginners.

Other small buildings have been constructed on sides of the rink but they are still being worked on, the purpose of the buildings has not been released yet. Recently they held their grand opening which consisted of activities such as a s’mores station, prizes and giveaways as well as a firework show to end the night.

Admission for adults is eight dollars and for children 12 and under or citizens 55 and older it is seven dollars. They also have multiple admission cards that consist of ten trips to the rink for $60. Skate rentals for figure skates or hockey skates are three dollars. THe rink has also added skating lessons for people of ages 3 to adults, there are many opportunities for lessons ranging from group lessons to one on one lessons. Birthday parties can also be arranged for groups of six or more and includes a 25 minute lesson from a host. From now until after Christmas a santa clause will be at the rink for kids to enjoy.
