Winter sports, which were set to begin December 28, will not be happening for students in the Arlington Public Schools (APS) system. The Virginia High School League (VHSL) stated that each district may decide for themselves whether or not to participate. Arlington Public Schools has decided to opt out due to the structure of returning to in-person school. Whether or not the Fall sport seasons, which are currently set to begin after winter sports were set to end (end of January), will occur has not been decided.
